He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesus Calzada and Francisca Gonzalez Calzada; his son Tony Calzada, Jr.; his grandchildren, Javier Rubio and Melissa Cruz; and his great grandchildren, Chassidy Ramirez and James Cruz.

He is survived by : his spouse Edelmira Coronado; and his daughters, Yolanda Connelly and Josie Hernandez. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great grandchildren.
