With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Claudine M. Burgess (Schertz, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Norma Haas Lucas and Erwin G. Voges; her husband Clarence Vetkoetter Jr.; and her stepdaughter Patti Vetkoetter. She is survived by : her son Erwin (Cindy); her stepdaughters, Jeannie (David) and Donna (Michael); and her grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca), Rachel (Ken), Danielle (Brandon), April, Audrie, Kayla, Alex, Zachary and Aaron. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and cherished friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154, USA). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Comal Cemetery (301 Peace Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130).

Respecting Claudine's passion for charitable causes and nature, the family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Cibolo Baptist Church, North Shore Animal League America, Salesian Missions, or The Nature Conservancy.
