He was predeceased by: his parents, Garold Hitt and Evelyn Hitt (Toone); his daughter Lisa Philips; and his granddaughter Michala. He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl Becker; his siblings, Ester Lough, Robert Hitt (Jan), Marcia Frederick, Lora Herrin (Loyd) and Gary Hitt (Regina); his son Jamie Hitt; his granddaughter Samantha Stephens; and his great grandchild Sophia.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154, USA).
In Jim's memory, donations may be given to his favorite charity, St. Lukes Children's Hospital.
