It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucia M. Garcia (Schertz, Texas), who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Carolina "Carrie" Montez (Carrie); her brother Armando Montez Jr.; and her nephew John Lucas Montez. She is survived by: her father Armando Montez Sr.; her husband Lucas C. Garcia; and her siblings, Johnny Montez (Mary) and Delia Ramirez (Rick). She is also survived by her extended family, including brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154, USA). A graveside service was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Panteon de Guadalupe Cemetery (7825 Upper Seguin Rd, Converse, TX 78109). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154, USA). A procession was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at the Panteon de Guadalupe Cemetery (7825 Upper Seguin Rd, Converse, TX 78109).
