He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Taylor Sr. and Josie George; his sisters, Janette Keller and Hazel Carter; and his nephew Pap Conway (Carolyn Taylor).

He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Cory, Rock, Eric and Tamika; and his siblings, Eugene, Robert, Ann, Alberta, Ernestine and Helen. He is also survived by his grandsons and granddaughters.
