He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary S. Petty (Roberts) and Alcyone Lee Petty; his wife Nadine Martha Saathoff Petty; his daughter Deanna Lee Petty; and his brother-in-law Michael Saathoff.
He is survived by: his children, Lana Zunker (Darryl) and Alvin L. Petty, Jr. (Lori); his grandchildren, Kaci Gibbons (Ben), Kade Zunker (Amanda), Kendyl Bridges (Tyler), Alvin Lee Petty, III (Gina) and Taylor Petty; his great grandchildren, Jakob, Blaine, Harper Gibbons, Lucas and Lane Zunker; his siblings, James Petty (Mary) and Mary Margaret Fisk; and his sister-in-law Karen Saathoff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to any children's health charity of choice.
