He was predeceased by: his parents, Petra Castro (Cruz) and Benito Castro Sr.; his wife Amparo Castro; and his siblings, Juanita Mercado and Miguel Castro Sr..
He is survived by: his sister Guadalupe Mayes (Max); and his niece Esther Tiemann. He is also survived by nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (409 W Krezdorn St, Seguin, TX 78155). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the San Juan Cemetery.
