He is survived by: his aunt Frederika Lehmann (Fred Hodde); his sons, John Ill (Debbie), Joel (Ruth), Tim (Kathy) and David (Christina); his grandchildren, John IV (Samantha), Julia (Jack Staub), Jimmy (Sarah), Rudy (Beth Harding), Zoë (Joseph Morse), Zach (Sara), Andy and Phoenix; his siblings, Leon Schwartz and Shirley Ashorn (Melvin); and also, L. J., Connor, Jackson and Emerson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
