He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Mendoza and Ana Morales Mendoza; his siblings, Gregoria Hernandez, Josefa Aldana, Adelina Bentancourt, Virginia Cano, Cipriana Luna, Meliton Morales, Rotilio Mendoza and Agustin Mendoza; and his stepdaughter Pamela Lynn Sampley.
He is survived by: his spouse Anselma Mendoza; his sons, Victor Mendoza (Lupe), Toby Mendoza Jr. (Pat), Joe Mendoza and Adrian Mendoza (Dianne); his granddaughters, Theresa Mendoza and Connie Mendoza; and his stepchildren, Billy Sampley (Sonia), Diana Kozic, Brenda Bender and Cynthia Washburn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Palmer Mortuary & Cremations (1116 N Austin St, Seguin, TX 78155). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Toby Mendoza will be remembered not only for his contributions to his family and community but also for his unwavering spirit and zest for life.
