She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Stewart and Lena Franks Stewart; her son J. J. Hocking; and her siblings, Nancy Stewart and Denny Stewart.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Jurney of Oklahoma, Bradley James (Morgan) of Seymour, Kimberley Hocking of Arkansas, Fa'lena Hocking of Arkansas, Emily Bacon (Matthew) of Seymour, Connie Provost of Bowie, Andrea James of Odessa, Angela James of Lubbock and Makayla D'Nell of Glenn Rose; her friend Doyle James of Seymour; her sister Annetta Kendrix (Robin); and her grandchildren, Kobi, Kahlan, Amelia, Liam, Niklas, Grayson, Westin, Cooper and Tripp.
