He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Lillie Haning (Parker); his stepmother Grace; his wife Lila; his daughter Randa Lynn Haning Kroeckel; and his siblings, Orville Haning and Jewelle Summerhill.

He is survived by: his son Dave Haning (Patrice) of Aurora, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
