It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarita Castilla of Skidmore, Texas, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Margarita leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maximo Martinez and Cruz B. Martinez; her husband Octavio Castilla Sr.; and her daughter Maria Luisa Castilla. She is survived by: her children, Norma Jean Garcia, Diana Garcia (Rey) and Octavio Castilla (Michelle); and her siblings, Virginia "Regina" Carbajal and Joe Martinez.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trevino Funeral Home (401 W Springer St, Beeville, TX 78102). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Berclair Cemetery.
