It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Gray Burks of Slidell, Texas, born in Tuttle, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Eldon Eugene Claytor and Alice Irene Claytor (Kelley); her former life partner John Gray; her husband James Willard Burks; her daughter Carla Gray Webb; and her siblings, Evelyn Freeman, Mona Massengale, Nancy Claytor, Wallace Claytor and Bobby Claytor.
She is survived by : her daughter Cynthia Pruett (Steve) of Slidell; her grandchildren, Jonathan Webb of Spokane, WA, Jeffrey Webb of Bothwell, WA, Caitlin Pruett of Irving and Slayton Pruett of Slidell; her siblings, Peggy Gray of Gordonville, Linda Newton of Montague, Sherry Hanna of Petrolia, Teresa Johnson of Slidell, Jerry Claytor of Sanger and Larry Claytor of Pioneer Valley; and her aunt Mildred Baker of Azle.
