He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Eugene and Melba Sammie Roper (Thompson); his wife Judith; his sister Bobbie June "Junie" Kreger; and his brothers-in-law, Glen Kreger and Bob Pritchett.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery Roper (Melissa) of Lubbock, Jennifer Bryan (Chris) of Kress and Judi Jo Roper Palmer of Burkburnett; his close friend Kathy Taylor; and his sisters, Katherine Ann Higgins (Carlos) and Martha Pritchett. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews as well as Kathy's extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Providing Life Ministries, PO Box 1047, Plains, TX 79355.
