He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Urbanovsky and Olga M. Urbanovsky (Regmund); his in-laws, Louis and Vlasta Fillip (Dlabay); his brother Frank John; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Urbanovsky and Eugene Roznos.
He is survived by: his daughter Lynette Marie Shimek (Urbanovsky); his wife Darlene J. Urbanovsky (Fillip); his son-in-law Kevin Shimek; his brothers, Joe D. (Judy Urbanovsky) and Ronald (Mary Ann Urbanovsky); his siblings-in-law, Lelene and Thomas Kachtik; his brothers, Shirley and Eugene Roznos; his godson Jess Junek (Cheryl Junek); and also, Melissa, Rhonda, Emma Lynn, Danielle Urbanovsky, Dawn Urbanovsky, Linda Urbanovsky, Brandy, Susan Knesek, Henrietta, Deborah Kahil, Crystal, Hannah Charanza, Glenda Marino, Amy Marino, Nannette Ripple, Tiffany Ripple, Jennifer Carlton, Misty Marks, Robert "Bobby" Barr, Bryce, Mike Michalkowski, Donald, Dalton, Michael, Tim Kemp, Bennett, Brenton Ayers, Hudson, Ed, Jeremy Baldwin, Kevin, Aaron, Charles, Joey, Jonathan Marino (Sara Quintanilla), Randy, Justin, Zach, Austin, Aidan, Blane, Dusty, Dakota, Daegyn, Jordan, Devin, Madison Mercer, Hadley, Maddy, Bekie Charanza, Laine Charanza, Caney and Dameon. He is also survived by several cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home (530 TX-36, Caldwell, TX 77836). A prayer will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Snook Brethren Church (9882 Farm to Market 2155 Loop, Somerville, TX 77878). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cooks Point Cemetery.
Lamar was proud of his Czech-Moravian ancestry, and served until his passing on the Board of Directors for the Czech Educational Foundation of Texas where he served on the committee which involved the endowment at Texas A&M University System.
