With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter R. Long Jr. of Sonora, Texas, born in San Angelo, Texas, who passed away on September 30, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Walter Russell Long. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Wood Waller; his daughter Susan Lyndal Long; his family Austin; his brother Joe R. Long; his children, Lyndal Wiatrek (Edwin), Russ Long (Carolyn Rydlund) and Mitch Long (LuAnn); his grandchildren, Lauren Wiatrek (Chris Housley), Jillian Winn (Anthony), Tucker Long (Kelli), Kally McNeil (Parks), Grace Long-Torales (Tony Torales), Kathryn Wiatrek, Kassandra Long and Walter R. Long, IV; and his great grandchildren, Parker Olivia Winn, Nathaniel Elliott Winn and Jet Walker McNeil.
