She was predeceased by : her parents, Esteban Mungia Jr. and Maria Garcia Mungia; her siblings, Robert Mungia, Oscar Mungia, Maria Mungia and Daniel Mungia; and her great grandchild Valentine Luis Hernandez.

She is survived by : her hunny Elisandro Vargas; her pet Baby; her children, Javier Alaniz, Julie, Angelita Alaniz (Eduardo), Orlando Alaniz, Jessica Alaniz, Anthony Gutierrez (Courtney) and Oralia Gutierrez; and her siblings, Esmeralda Garza, Rosa Maria Segura, Fidel Mungia, Santos Mungia, Lorenzo Mungia, John Mungia and Greg Mungia. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a very large extended family.
