He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Vernon Renteria Sr. (Ida Mena Renteria); his grandparents, Raymond V. Renteria, Angela Renteria, Lupe Mena Cantera and Francisco Mena; his uncles, Ray Renteria, Rudy Renteria, Frank Mena Jr. and Edward "Pinky" Mena; and his aunt Helen Acosta.
He is survived by: his mother Ida Mena Renteria; his sisters, Rhonda Renteria, Margot De La Paz, Valerie Renteria and Roxanne Renteria; his sibling-in-law Zal; his children, Olivia Mendez, Jose Mendez, Michael Anthony Mendez and Mariah Mendez; and his grandfather Jesse Cantera. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
