It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Gaines of Spearman, Texas, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Wesley Gaines and Freda Lenore Boling Gaines; and his siblings, Mary Louise Gaines, Robert Wesley Jr. Gaines and Franklin Delano Gaines.

He is survived by : his wife Betty; his daughter Peggy Varnon (Allen) of Spearman; his grandsons, Freddie Tucker (Becky) of Quanah, TX, Justin Tucker (Anna) of Perryton, TX, Jason Varnon (Donia) of Spearman, TX, Eric Varnon (Leslie) of Ft Worth, TX and Richard Varnon (Claire) of Weatherford, TX.; and his sister Beverly Ann Gaines Martin (Chuck) of El Dorado, Kansas..
