He was predeceased by : his parents, Oliver Southerland and Marie Southerland; his brothers, Thomas, Quincey, David and Timothy Southerland; his wife Charlotte; his brothers, Byron and Richard LeBlanc; his niece Kristen; and also, Christina Southerland Harrist and Robert Keel.

He is survived by : his children, Michael LeBlanc (Diana), Catherine LeBlanc DeAnda (Joey) and Susie LeBlanc Dams (Robert); his grandchildren, Pam Cook, Cindy Cook, Kim Cook-Sander (Troy), Joe Cook (Carla), Brandy Quarles (Justin), Mike LeBlanc (Stephanie), Gary Whitmire (Terri), Justin LeBlanc (Shelby), Nathanial Guptill (Amanda), DeToma Carter (Ela), Rachel Agustin (Justin), Jacob Dams (Keely) and Sarah Dams; his sisters-in-law, Glenda, Brenda and Clare Southerland; his sisters, Kay LeBlanc and Dorothy Wagoner; his sisters-in-law, Nancy LeBlanc, Marie Reno LeBlanc and Patti LeBlanc Many; his pets, Misty, Celeste, Ginger Snap, Peaches, Gracie and Lilly Belle; and also, Mary Southerland Keel and John Harrist.
