She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Elmer Long and Ethel Long of Girard, Texas.; her siblings, Bernice Watson and James Long of Girard; her nieces and nephews, Kay Crow, Patti Haley, Angie Baily, Edwin Long, Bob Long, Don Long, Ronnie Watson and Mike Watson; her husband Jimmy Whitefield; and her daughters, Paula Sexton (Jay Whitefield) and Rilee Sexton. She was also cherished by many great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Spur Area Food Bank may be made.
