He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Moorefield and Mary Ann Moorefield (Swarna); his former life partner Bonnie Moorefield; his brother Claude Moorefield, Jr.; and his great grandchild Ryan Moorefield.

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Moorefield of Plant City, FL; his children, Karen Lee (Doyle) of Hamlin, TX, Karla Hicks (Thomas) of Lueders, TX, Kathy Koonce (Rick) of Lueders, TX, Kimela Moorefield of Lueders, TX, James Bud Moorefield of Lueders, TX, Waylon Moorefield (Kim) of Michigan, Daylon Moorefield of Waco, TX and Kelly Pridgen (David) of Valrico, FL; and his sister Carolyn Inskeep of Waco, TX. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
