She was predeceased by: her parents, Adron Flowers and Nell Archer Flowers; her husband Waymon Messick; her siblings, Melton, Beryl Flowers Johnston and Frances Flowers Craighead; and her nephews, Larry Johnston and Don Flowers.
She is survived by: her daughter Mindy; her son-in-law Wayne Wooley; her granddaughters, Caitlyn Wooley and Breanna Wooley; her sibling's children, Sandy Turner, Janis Flynn, Joby Lucas and Rodney Johnston (Nancy); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, T'era Flynn, Casey Burns, Tim Darby, Shaun Johnston, Chance Johnston and Chad Johnston. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
