She was predeceased by : her mother Ella Rangel; and her brother Edward Rangel Sr.. She is survived by : her nephews, Daniel "Danny" Rangel and Jose "Joey" Tamez; her father Antonio Rangel Sr.; her children, Johnny Mendez Jr. and Sara Gaitan; her siblings, Sylvia, Sally, Antonio "Tony" Jr. and Abel; and her aunt Susie.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Church of Christ of Stockdale Annex Building (633 Texas Hwy 123, Stockdale, TX 78160).
