He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Paul Sr. and Mary Viola Jahn Tesch; his brothers, Walter Jr. (Buck) and Leon Tesch; and his nephews, Archie Criswell and Tim Tesch.

He is survived by : his wife Doris Tesch; his children, Paul Tesch and Lesley Fessler; his son-in-law Brent Fessler; his grandsons, William and Colin Fessler; and his sisters, Ann Currie and Ruth Criswell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, outlaws, and friends.
