It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Joe Needham of Sugar Land, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Grover Washington and Beulah Azalea Owens Needham; her brother Grover W. Needham; her granddaughter Maryann Elizabeth; her daughter-in-law Gayle Gouge; and her siblings-in-law, Margie Needham and Robert "Bob" Evans.

She is survived by : her sister Mahdeen Evans; her children, Debra May (Jeff), Steve Gouge (Gayle), Jim Gouge (Jeanine), Laura Pitrucha (Roy) and Stacy Drake (Frank); and her grandchildren, Becky Moffett (Chris), Vicky Gouge, Jeannie Delaney (Lance), Michael Carder (Misty), Chris Gouge, Jennifer Gouge, Katy Gouge, James Gouge (Farrah), Michael Gouge (Whitney), Rachel Barbour (Neil), Johnathon Gouge (Jacquelyn), Matthew Pitrucha, Jack Gouge (Brittany), Daniel Pitrucha, Alex Drake, Madi Drake and Grace Drake. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Parkway United Methodist Church (5801 New Territory Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479).
