She was predeceased by: her former husband Charles Pierce; her husband George DeWeese; her parents, Goldie Cornell and Charles Lewis; her sons, Gary Pierce and Joe Pierce; and her siblings, Dorothy, Bessie, Helen, Josephine, Shirley Lewis and Harry Lewis.

She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Bongiovanni (Peter); her daughter-in-law Lorri Pierce; her grandchildren, Stephanie Rodenberg-Lewis (Karl Lewis), Brittany Finney (Blake Finney), Clint Pierce and Taylor Pierce; and her great grandchildren, Peter Rodenberg, Keith Lewis and Shea Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, the family has chosen the West Volusia Humane Society for memorial contributions.
