He is survived by : his wife Deanna Shepard; his children, Dr. Lauren Shepard and Katherine Moody; his grandchildren, Theodore Carter, Avalynn Moody, Brynleigh Moody and June Carter; his siblings, Archie, Mark, Walter, David, Mary Shepard, Betty Spear and Donna Frazier; and his sons-in-law, Judge Eric William Carter (Matthew) and Bradley Moody.
