He was predeceased by : his father Alfred Tiemeyer; his sister Rachel Ruth Leigh; his grandson Judah Tiemeyer; and his brother-in-law Alllen Feenstra. He is survived by : his mother Wilma Tiemeyer; his wife Bonnie Feenstra; his children, Jeff Tiemeyer (Amy), Brian Tiemeyer (Hollie), Joel Tiemeyer (Sheri) and Tara Jackson (Luke); his siblings, Carl Tiemeyer, R. John Tiemeyer and La Raine Salmon; his sister-in-law Clara Feenstra; and his grandchildren, Zach Tiemeyer, Katie Tiemeyer, Joshua Tiemeyer, Elise Tiemeyer, Anna Tiemeyer, Kylie Jackson, Alison Jackson, Caleb Tiemeyer and Aaron Tiemeyer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
