He was predeceased by: his parents, Pink Spivey and Annie Mae English; his son Ricky Spivey; his siblings, Billy Spivey, Sr., Robert Triggs, Sr., JoAnne Spivey, Bobbie Ann Triggs Hogan and Norma Faye Hamilton; his daughter Victoria Owusu; his son-in-law Yawayim Owusu; and his son Charles C. Askew, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Spivey; his children, Sherby Spivey (Glenda) of Cedar Park, Chris Spivey (Ann), Keith Spivey (Brenda) of Sulphur Springs, Jeff Spivey, Jr. of Houston, Robert Askew of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Sequita Mosley (Anthony) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; his daughter-in-law Jacqueline Spivey of Sulphur Springs, Texas; his siblings, Milford Spivey and Shirley Mack; his siblings-in-law, Randolph Magdaleno, Silva Barajas (Leo) and Anna Romero (Antonio); and his aunt Beulah Cook.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (208 Fuller St, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
