With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Sue Clayton (Sulphur Springs, Texas), who passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Barris Sims. She is survived by: her daughters, Toleia Sims and Tammy Demery (Tyrone Demery); her granddaughters, Mariah Demery and Aijalon Pryor; her nephews, Trevon Washington and Marco Flores; her great grandchild Evie Martin; and her nieces, Sophia Noiel, Stephanie Thomas (Mark Thomas) and Shelita Stokes (Charles).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the West Oaks Funeral Home (500 Hillcrest Dr S, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the MLK Church of Christ (154 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the East Caney Cemetery (401 Co Rd 3345, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
