We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Jerry Glossup in Tyler, Texas, born in Cumby, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Glossup and Beatrice Deaton Glossup; his wife Shirley Beth Jones Glossup; and his grandparents, Cleve, Rose Glossup, Nando and Dora Deaton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deana Ragsdale (Danny) and Diane Glenn (Brent); his grandchildren, Dustin Ragsdale (Kaydi), Ryan Glenn (Catie), Dayla Burgin (Garon) and Colton Glenn (MacKenzie); his great grandchildren, Hagen Ragsdale, Tripp Glenn, Dallie Glenn, Mattie Burgin, Landon Burgin, Hattie Glenn and Macie Glenn; his brother Doyle Glossup (Hazel); his sister-in-law Lou Jane Drummond; and also Kara. He is also survived by several other special friends and family members.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel (876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (614 Texas St, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North Hopkins Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
