He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Davis and Archie Davis; his son Ira Young; and his sisters, Shirley Clayton, Louise Woodard and Mary Frances Carroll.

He is survived by : his daughter Kyla Walker; and his siblings, Lester Davis, Vincent Davis and Lois Cash (Lawrence). He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
