She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Burks and Opal Burks (Hatfield); her siblings, Modene Sims, Travis Burks, Wylie Burks and T. H. Burks; and her son-in-law Larry Spradlin.
She is survived by: her husband James "Weldon" Glossup; her sister Sue Walker; her children, Ronny Glossup (Anita), Mary Lou Wright (Andy), Sherri Spradlin and Joyce VanWinkle (Robert); and her grandchildren, Melanie Helm (Jonas), Mandy Helberg (Chad), Wendy White (Rodney), Stacy Hrabal (Michael), Haley Ross (John), Candace Pair (Jody), Brian Wright (Chelsey) and Chance VanWinkle. She is also survived by 14 great- grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home (876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Posey Baptist Church (4620 Farm to Market 71 W, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Posey Cemetery (4616 W Farm Rd 71, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
