He is survived by: his wife Nelda Gabler; his children, Jennifer Kent (Kary) of Sweetwater and Jeff Gortney (Amy) of Lubbock; his siblings, Doris Jordan of Marble Falls, Judy Owens of Friendswood and Aubrey Guy Gortney (Kathy) of Marble Falls, Texas.; his grandchildren, Kelsea Moore (K. J.) of Lubbock, Kade Kent of Durango, Jaden Gortney and Dagen Gortney of Lubbock; and his great grandchildren, Braxton Moore of Lubbock, Harlea Grace Compton, Koby Compton of Sweetwater and Kaylea Moore of Lubbock.
