She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilde Mata, (Mendoza) and Enrique Mata, Sr.; and her siblings, Carlos Mata, Ricardo Mata, Consuelo Mata, Rodolfo Mata and Enrique Mata, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Crystal Hodgins (Ryan); her grandson Matthew Hodgins; her husband George Durand; and her siblings, Janie Suarez, Jesusa Hinojosa, Lupe James and Rey Mata. She is also survived by mother and daughter but best friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel (606 S San Patricio St, Sinton, TX 78387). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery (Portland, TX 78374).
