She was predeceased by: her parents, Arturo Sr. Pena and Francisca Pena; her husband Fidel "Wahoo" Salazar; her sons, Fidel Salazar Jr. and Rene Salazar; and her siblings, Arturo Peña Jr., Odelia "Yaya" Peña, Hector Peña, Albert Peña and Estella P. Gonzales.
She is survived by: her daughters, Velma Garcia, Sylvia Martinez and Melissa Rodriguez; and her siblings, Ruben Peña, Sr., David Peña (Rose Peña) and Esther Peña. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church - Taft (120 E Escobedo St, Taft, TX 78390). A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery (800 Ave C, Taft, TX 78390).
