It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Darnell of Talpa, Texas, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Huston and Virginia Alice Wheeler Darnell; his daughter Marilyn Darnell Johnson; and his great grandchild Kaetlyn. He is survived by: his significant other Brenda Lee Wallace; his daughters, Karla Higginbotham (Vinson) of Talpa, Cyndi Darnell of Talpa, Texas and Charlotte Robbins; his grandchildren, Tatum Cauthen (Trennon), Samantha Danielson (Chris), Jessica Goldthrite (Justin), Rose Price (Kacy), Carla Orta, Kristi Cronin and Vinson Carl Higginbotham, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Kaede, Taylor, Kaclynne, Makaela, Layla, Heavenly, Triston, Trenton (Maddie), Travis, Landon and Shiye Wayne; his great great grandchild Berklee; and his siblings, Caroline Pinckey, Linda Collins and Harry Darnell. He is also survived by wife, daughters and son-in-law.

Face coverings and social distancing is required at the visitation and funeral service.
