He was predeceased by: his wife Pamela Faye Horton (Honeycutt); his daughter Chasity Faye Wells (Horton); his parents, Jimmie Earl Horton and Cellie Wease Horton (Hall); and his siblings, Patricia Ann Horton, Jimmie Earl Horton Jr. and Stacy Gale Horton.
He is survived by: his son Christopher Terry Horton; his grandchildren, Tyler Austin Wells (Melissa) and Ryan Scott Wells (Ali Flores); his great grandchildren, Ava Faye Wells and Luca Alexander Wells; and his siblings, Larry Earl Horton (Jan), Celia Ann Pollard (Horton) and Jimmie Carroll Horton.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Cemetery (605 N Wall St, Benson, NC 27504). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Lighthouse Baptist Church (1140 State Rd 1521, Benson, NC 27504).
