He was predeceased by : his parents, Blas Garcia and Hortencia Garcia; his wife Mary Garcia; and his parents-in-law, Francis Castillo (Joe) and Lupe Torres (Ray).

He is survived by : his children, Hortencia Lane, Reno Garcia (Patty), Margarita Garcia, Andy Garcia, Gilbert Garcia (Tammy), Terri Crowell and Richard Garcia (Jessica); and his sisters, Hope Lugo and Lisa Torres. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-granchildren.
