We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2024, at the age of 66, Owen Beene Jr. (Teague, Texas), born in Mexia, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Betty Pingleton; his stepfather Billy Mears; his father Owen "Sonny" Beene, Sr.; his brother Ronnie Beene; his grandmother Virgie Pingleton; and his stepson Gary Kelley.

He is survived by : his wife Vickie Beene; his children, Amy Beene (Jesse), Cher'ee Wilcoxen (Joey), Vantley Kelley (Christy), Linda Mullins (Tyler), Tanya Bosley (Allen) and Carrie Jo Ogilvie (Whit); his nephew Jonathan Beene (Ashley); his niece Patricia Norman (Ricky); and his close friends, Jack, Louann Hale and Don Jackson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bowers Funeral Home (900 US Hwy 84 W, Teague, TX 75860). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Salem Cemetery (200 Co Rd 731, Teague, TX 75860).
