Mikel Dan Urbantke Obituary

Mikel Dan Urbantke, age 69, of Temple passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital. Mikel was born on the 5th day of April 1956 in Temple to his parents Daniel Walter and Lucy Katherine (Wilson) Urbantke.

Mikel has been a resident of Bell County his whole life. In his younger years he graduated from Moody High School. Into his work life, Mikel would go on to work for McLane's for many years up until his accident in 1999, where he would become disabled. Mikel married the love of his life Mona Reagan on September 26, 1980, in Belton. The couple were inseparable and did everything together. With that being said, the couple would spend the next 45 years loving each other unconditionally and making many wonderful memories together. Mikel would bless this world with two sons, whom he loved so dearly and would do anything for. Mikel was affiliated with the Baptist Ministries. In his free time, he loved watching Texas A&M sports, fishing, and listening to his favorite music, Kid Rock. Mikel always had a positive attitude and never let a difficult situation veer him from doing what was right. Mikel was loved by so many people and will deeply missed by his many family and friends.

Mikel was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Lucy, as well as two brothers.

Mikel leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Mona Urbantke of Temple, sons Esten Walter Urbantke of Brazil, Micah Daniel Urbantke of Temple, sisters Linda Carey of Oregon, and Tammy Urbantke of Temple.
