He was predeceased by: his mother Yonne Tinney; his brothers, Dwayne Tinney and Michael Tinney; his uncle Bobby Tinney; his grandmother Merrice Reynolds; his great-grandparent Frank Tinney; and his uncle Hubert Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Ginny Tinney of Caddo Mills, Texas; his children, Chris Tinney of Dallas, Texas and Taylor Tinney Szala (Tyler); his brother Dwight Tinney (Sheila); his stepmother Shirley Tinney of Quinlan, Texas; his grandchildren, Christian Dean Tinney of Dallas, Texas, Talia June Lindsey of Frisco, Texas and Jaxon Dean Lindsey of Frisco, Texas; his sibling's children, Joe David, Tommy, Anadda Weatherly, Michael, Gail Kremer, Steven, Allison Kremer, Frank Adam Tinney, Karen Kremer, Joanna King and Jennifer King; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Kremer (Ed) and Ben King (Aihwa); his great-nephew Timothy Kremer; and his great-nieces, Elizabeth Kremer, Olivia, Audrey Kremer, Hadley Kremer and Alice Tinney.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home (301 W Nash St, Terrell, TX 75160). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
His contribution to the field was matched only by his passion for learning and creating, which stemmed from a strong educational foundation.
