He was predeceased by: his parents, Esteban Salazar (Raynalda Salazar) and Raynalda Salazar; and his siblings, Veronica Salazar and Eliseo Salazar. He is survived by: his wife Alicia Salazar; and his children, Juan Francisco Salazar (Rubi Salazar), Joel Salazar (Martha Salazar), Blanca Salazar (Juan Ruiz) and Orfa Elizabeth Salazar. He is also survived by three brothers, four sisters, twenty-five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and numerous nephews.
