He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Gregory Barfield and Susan Iona Ponder Barfield; and his wife Audrey Pace Barfield. He is survived by: his children, John Glenn Barfield (Robin) of Destin and Audrey Anne Barfield Slade (Christopher) of Texarkana, Texas; his siblings, Ronald Lynn Barfield, Sammie Ruth Murdock, Margie Ann Youngblood, Carol Jean Smith and Donna Sue Watson; and his grandchildren, John Robert Barfield (Sara), Kathryn Barfield, Cole Slade and Blake Slade.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Red Bayou Methodist Church building fund.
