She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Shaw and Dorothy Nell Barksdale; her sister Brenda Barksdale; and her daughter Rochelle Barksdale. She is survived by: her children, Bryant Barksdale of Texarkana, Texas and Jasmine Alexandar (Danniell) of Georgia; her siblings, Marsha Nickerson and Timothy Barksdale; her grandchildren, Kiara Williams, Cory Ingram, Talisha Ingram, Xazavion Barksdale, Kedrian Barksdale, Bryant Barksdale, Zariah Barksdale, Jaebron Barksdale, Bryson Barksdale, Lashaya Barksdale and Logan Alexandar; and her great grandchild Kamdyn Barksdale. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559).
