She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Floyd and Lucile Caskey; her husband Charles Reed Dukes; and her son Gary Michael McCarley. She is survived by: her children, Ruth Tipton (Charles "Mike" Tipton Sr.) of Santa Fe, Texas and Mark Allen Dukes (Debra Dukes) of Peoria, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Becky McCarley of New Caney, Texas; and her grandchildren, Cynthia Best of El Mirage, Arizona, Amanda Schoellkopf of League City, Texas, Michelle Leal of Cleveland, Texas, Patricia Crayton (David) of Houston, Texas, Charles M. Tipton Jr. (Chuck) of St. Martinville, Louisiana and Brian Tipton (Stacy) of Montgomery, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; six great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carnes Funeral Home - CTC (3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
