He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Eugene Howell, Sr. and Lena Marie Howell; his wife Barbara Louise Howell; his daughters, Angela (Ricky) and Amanda; his grandchildren, Taylor (Justin) and Vincent; his great grandchildren, Tanner and Gracelynn; and his siblings, Sandra, Michael (Bruns), Cynthia (Bill) and Lisa (Tony). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Carnes Funeral Home - CTC (3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
