He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl F. Patterson and Luar Patterson; and his wife Mary Jane Patterson (Henderson). He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Laura) and Ronald (Emmy); his grandchildren, Marissa, Keileigh, Austin and Alex; his great grandchild Olivia Jane; and his sister Linda King. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Klein Funeral Home - Tomball (1400 W Main St, Tomball, TX 77375). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (22601 Lutheran Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377).
