We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2021, at the age of 90, Helen Elizabeth Mathena of Troy, Texas, born in Saint Louis, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Elizabeth Mathena to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Allen and Esther Whitehead; her brother James McDonald Whitehead; her husband Troy Marvin Mathena; her daughter Laura Holmes; and her grandchildren, James, Jodie and Jadyn Davis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Eva Chance of Irving, Debbie Scarborough of Red Oak, Marla Gallemore (Myles) of Irving, Julie Davis (Jerry) of Irving and Carleen "Charlie" Brake of Rock Springs; and her sister-in-law Jean Brooks of Flower Mound. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and their partners, 5 great-grandsons.
